Masonry built to last, for homeowners, builders and general contractors across Southern Ontario. Every job starts with the base, the mortar and the drainage, the part nobody photographs.
Flagstone
Natural flagstone patios, walkways, steps and pool surrounds, dry laid on a compacted base or set in mortar over concrete.
Front Porches
Porch rebuilds and new entrances in brick, stone or interlock, on proper footings, with steps that meet the door and a landing that drains away from the house.
Chimney Repairs and Rebuilds
Rebuilds from the roof line up, new crowns, caps and flashing, and spalled brick cut out and replaced before the water reaches the ceiling.
Tuckpointing
Tired mortar raked out and replaced with a mix matched for colour, texture and hardness, so the repair reads as part of the original wall.

Macaworks is run by Moises, who is on site for the work and not only for the quote. Over twenty years on the trowel, one crew, one project at a time, right across Southern Ontario, so your job is not sitting half torn up while we chase the next one.
Base work you cannot see

No. On-site estimates across Southern Ontario are free. We measure the site, talk through materials and send a written quote with a fixed price and a start window.
Some of it can. Interior block work, fireplace work and small repairs continue through winter with heated enclosures and cold weather mortar. Full exteriors, flagstone, interlock and retaining wall builds are scheduled from spring through late fall, so booking in winter usually gets you an earlier spot in the season.
A front porch rebuild usually runs three to five working days. A flagstone patio runs three to six. A full exterior in brick or stone runs two to four weeks, depending on the size of the house, scaffold access and how much of the old wall has to come off first.
Both. We rebuild and repoint chimneys, tuckpoint old walls, cut out and replace spalled brick, and repair steps and porches. Mortar is matched for colour, texture and hardness so a repair reads as part of the original wall rather than a patch.
Yes. Macaworks Masonry carries liability insurance and WSIB coverage, and we can send certificates before work starts. About half our year is builder and general contractor work, so that paperwork is already in order, and it is what protects you if something goes wrong on your property.
